What is your role at IFMG?
System Admin

What does your role entail?
Making sure all users have proper access to their computers, mastering the Lead Routing technology and infrastructure,  performing project management of cross departmental tasks and projects, providing performance tuning and automation support and collaborate with development team, and working with deployment of new architectures and applications to achieve business goals.

What do you look forward to the most with this role?
Ensuring that all systems are up and running smoothly at all times.

What do you do for fun?
I enjoy bowling & playing ball

Sandys has resided in Richmond the past six years. Prior to VA he lived in North Carolina. He has a daughter and a very big family.

We have a new employee on deck who we are very ecstatic about, Albano Stefani!  Albano brings a rich background in both lead generation and automotive Internet sales to our Team.  He sold cars at Coconut Creek Mitsubishi in Florida before becoming their Internet Sales Manager.

In his spare and eventually his full-time, he built his own mortgage leads business.  After selling the leads business and relocating to Richmond he took over Pearson Chrysler Jeep’s Internet Sales department.

Albano’s full of energy and his passion about the web is contagious.  We especially are enthused by his knowledge of the automotive landscape and its application to our business opportunities.  We are pleased to introduce you to Mr. Stefani.

What is your role at IFMG?
Search Marketing Analyst

What does your role entail?
Optimize search engine rankings for our websites to increase overall traffic; optimize our landing pages to increase conversion and profitability; improve our brand awareness and trust in our services.

What do you look forward to the most with this role?
The everyday challenges in the organic search world especially involving changes in the Google ranking algorithms and trying to reflect those changes in our site optimizations.

What do you do for fun?
Travel a lot, cooking, online poker.

We continue our employee spotlight series with a member of our development team, Andy Gagne. Andy started out in 1997 as a help desk technician and while with that company he started developing a tech support website. He moved into the web development department at that company in 1999 and has been doing web development ever since.

Andy has played a key role in the development and launch of our new carloan.com website, and we are proud to introduce him to you.

How long have you been with the company?
 2 years and 289 days

What is your role at IFMG?
I am a Web Developer

What does your role entail?
 I work on anything I can get my hands from HTML to Windows Services and everything in between

What do you enjoy most about your role?
 Web development encompasses a lot of things. Some are cutting edge and cool and others are old and archaic, but it’s different every day

Are you currently working on a new project and if so what is it?
 I’m working on a WCF RESTful Service that will be cross domain accessible by utilizing JSONP, AJAX and jQuery

What do you do for fun?
 I fix stuff, go fishing, ride my ATV, play wiffle ball and do whatever stuff my kids want to do.

What is something that no one would ever know about you?
 I am an open book

 Andy moved to Richmond four years ago from the back woods of New Hampshire where he had lived his entire life. Married 14 years, he and his wife have three kids who are 13, 8 and 5. Every year for the past 10 years he makes a pilgrimage to West Virginia to ride the Hatfield-McCoy trail system with his friends from New Hampshire and Maine.

We continue our Employee Spotlight series this week by highlighting Kevin Boylan. A native of North Carolina, Kevin has been in Richmond 3 years and with IFMG for 2 years.

Prior to IFMG, Kevin was employed with Dominion Power as a web developer and has been in the web and database development field for over ten years. We introduce to you Mr. Boylan:

How long have you been with the company?
About 25 months, but there was a 9 month long interruption where I was distracted by what I thought was a greener pasture. Turns out I was wrong, so here I am.

What is your role at IFMG?
As a Web Developer, my current role focuses on optimizing our network of organic, consumer-facing websites.

What does your role entail?
Lots of things: coding, administering our CMS (content management system), monitoring and interpreting web analytics, and brainstorming with management and marketing folks are just a few examples.

What do you enjoy most about your role?
Every day here is different, and there are always opportunities to learn new things and wear different hats. I also like knowing that my projects can have a direct impact on the business.

Are you currently working on a new project and if so what is it?
We just rolled out a completely new and re-designed website. The old site is actually still up and running, and I am currently in the middle of comparing the performance (mainly in terms of conversion rates) of the old and new. My big obsession right now is optimizing the new homepage until the new site’s performance surpasses the old site.

What do you do for fun?
Listen to music. Getting out to see bands. Drawing and painting. Watching films. Eating too much at Indian buffets. Playing with our four cats.

What is something that no one would ever know about you?
For some reason, people tend to be really surprised if I happen to mention I’m half Korean.

Kevin currently resides in Richmond with his wife of 2+ years, Peggy  and their 4 cats and 3 geckos. Prior to moving to Richmond he resided in Buffalo NY.
